MRCB Building System (MBS)

The Future of Construction
MRCB Building System
After years of research, MRCB developed Malaysia’s first Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) system called MBS.

The MBS will revolutionise construction in Malaysia and will reduce dependency on manpower, material wastage and project delivery time, as well as ensure consistent and high quality standards
What is MRCB Building System?
MRCB Building System is an innovative construction method that utilises offsite manufacturing and on-site assembly to create buildings. This method offers numerous benefits, including accelerated construction timelines, improved quality control, and enhanced sustainability practices.

MBS is transforming the industry by offering a faster, more efficient, and flexible solution to meet the evolving needs of modern construction projects.

MBS is Greener, Faster, Smarter

Greener

Minimal on-site work reduces dust during the construction process. Additionally, using the just-in-time material ordering system ensures that materials are only purchased as and when they are needed, resulting in reduced material wastage.

Faster

90% of construction work taking place in the fabrication facility ensures uninterrupted progress regardless of weather conditions, resulting in zero construction delays.

Smarter

Modules are designed with precision and undergo stringent quality control measures, minimising errors and building defects and delivering superiorstructures of the highest quality.

Redesigning Construction in 4 Steps

Step 1: Design Module

The modular construction process begins with the meticulous design of modules using state-of-the-art 3D technology. This advanced approach ensures precise planning, resulting in high-quality buildings.

Step 2: Construction with concurrent activities in two locations

Offsite – Modules are fabricated and equipped with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components, as well as necessary fixtures and finishes, at the manufacturing facility.
Onsite – Concurrently, foundation works are undertaken at the construction site.

Step 3: Transportation

All prefinished modules are transported to the construction site. This streamlined approach minimises transportation costs and reduces environmental impact, ensuring a cost-effective and sustainable construction process.

Step 4: Installation

The modules are then lifted, stacked and interlocked into place to form the building using our innovative and patented Candle-Loc Connection System. This installation method guarantees exceptional structural integrity and adherence to the highest standards of quality.

Sustainable Construction to Build A Better Tomorrow

MRCB Building System is the way forward in applying sustainable construction in developing future developments. MBS is in line with various Sustainable Development Goals.

Improved Site Safety

90% of works done off-site at ground level in a controlled environment, reducing risk of injuries from working at height

Skilled Local Labour

Less dependency on unskilled foreign labour and attracts more skilled workers to the industry

Faster Construction Time

Fabrication of building components off-site run concurrently with on-site activities, reducing construction time by up to 50%

High Quality Assurance & Control

Higher quality control at the point of construction due to controlled environment

Lower Material Wastage

Shift towards manufacturing approach with streamlined processes and effective, “just in time” inventory management reduces waste going to landfills

Lower Environmental Impact

Less noise, dust, truck movement & pollution from site activities and more efficient construction method, which reduces energy consumption compared to traditional construction
